As one of the UK’s leading providers of Minibus Driver Assessments, we thought you’d like an update on recent changes within the industry, and to hear what we’ve been doing to ensure UKGRS clients continue to receive a professional, convenient service.
Since the start of January 2024, any driver who needs a Standard, or Standard and Accessible MiDAS Course (induction or refresher), must now take an online theory session first. The CTA (who run MiDAS UK wide) charge per driver and must be completed prior to our visit. Our team member will carry out an extended ‘ enhanced driver assessment’ encompassing a brief theory review, as well as the physical driving assessment. Some Clients find the online theory convenient insofar as it allows drivers to spend less time away from ‘work’ when carrying out the remaining 1.5hr practical session.
We realise though, online training isn’t for everyone. That’s why we’re also offering DAPSS (The Driver and Passenger Safety System) as a face-to-face alternative to MiDAS. DAPSS has been developed using knowledge from driver assessors with over 40 years combined experience and is delivered on-site, face-to-face in a small group classroom environment.
